2. Qutub Minar

Qutub Minar is some of the few historic marvels in Delhi that display heritage at its best. This monument is a relic of the Delhi history, completed by many kings over the years. Qutb-Ud-din-Aibak began building this gigantic structure in 1192, but it was Firoz Shah Tughlaq who then completed the remaining stories in 1368. 

With five stories and a staircase of 379 steps, this towering brick minaret is 73-meter (293.5 feet) high. This attraction is an architectural wonder with looped bells, garlands, and lotus borders carvings. You can still see the Parso-Arabic and Nagari inscriptions on its walls, which reflect the evidence of its reconstruction by Lodi and the Tuglaq dynasty.

Qutub Minar is conveniently located at the heart of Delhi city so it’s very easy to reach the monument by metro & road. The nearest metro is Qutub Minar Metro Station which is on the Yellow Metro Line. 3. The Red Fort

Constructed in 1639 under Mughal Emporer Shah Jahan’s rule, the monument still stands tall on the banks of the river Yamuna.
